The Military History Museum’s Collection of Ammunition illustrates the evolution of ammunition and other pyrotechnical substances from the middle of the 19th century, when breech loading and rifle barrel firearms came to existence, virtually to the present day. The part of the collection that comprises most of the artefacts is the assortment of infantry ammunition.
The Collection equally embraces pistol, rifle and carbine cartridges and rounds.
Another important part of the Collection is composed of artillery ammunition that concludes artillery shells ranging from 3.7 to 42cm calibre, cases, fuses, and explosive fillings and samples, as well as air bombs.
The third part of the Collectd giving lectures.ion incorporates hand and rifle grenades and special pyrotechnical materials.
